Motive is a SaaS platform that empowers physical operations teams—safety, operations, and finance—with unified visibility and control over drivers, vehicles, equipment, and fleet spend. The company serves nearly 100,000 customers across transportation, logistics, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, agriculture, food & beverage, retail, and public sector.
As Director of Strategic Accounts for the Eastern U.S., you will lead enterprise sales efforts targeting Motive's largest prospects, primarily Fortune 500 companies that operate fleets. You will develop and close transformational deals by building deep C-suite and executive relationships, identifying champions within prospect organizations, and driving RFP wins and contract expansion.
Key responsibilities include prospecting and winning new strategic business; developing internal champions at target accounts; partnering with cross-functional account teams to optimize customer value perception; resolving complex problems; collaborating with technical resources to demonstrate integrations and partner ecosystem value; planning to meet and exceed revenue quotas; deepening product and operations knowledge; and staying current on market trends to deliver consultative insights.
You will work independently with a data-driven approach, leveraging customer analytics and available resources. The role requires comfort in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a win-as-a-team mentality across multiple industries including trucking, oil & gas, construction, agriculture, and manufacturing.
Required qualifications: 7+ years of SaaS or industry-relevant enterprise field sales experience; proven track record of exceeding quotas and growing your book of business; ability to build rapport with C-suite decision-makers and influence outcomes; independent work style with data-driven goal-setting; best-in-class communication and objection-handling skills. Candidates must be based on the East Coast.
