Nametag is building secure digital identity solutions for enterprises to prevent social engineering and deepfake impersonation attacks. The company is hiring a Director of Product Marketing to own positioning, messaging, launches, and sales enablement for the core identity verification platform and its solutions.
In this senior individual-contributor role, you will be the arbiter of how Nametag describes itself across all customer-facing surfaces—sales conversations, website, analyst briefings, and internal decks. You'll own the company's core identity verification narratives and maintain messaging consistency as the company scales rapidly.
Key responsibilities include:
**Positioning & Messaging:** Own Nametag's core narratives and enforce the company messaging guide. Translate technical product capabilities into language that resonates with CISOs, security/IAM leaders, IT leaders, and helpdesk leaders—the key buyers and influencers.
**Product Launches & Go-to-Market:** Own end-to-end go-to-market plans for new platform features and solution modules, from kickoff through launch. Build repeatable launch frameworks (messaging pillars, soundbites, ICP mapping, objection handling) so each launch doesn't start from scratch. Define and track launch success metrics.
**Competitive Intelligence & Differentiation:** Own competitive battlecards against MFA/authentication vendors and consumer-grade KYC vendors. Research and articulate how Nametag's verification differs from adjacent categories in credible, technical terms. Ensure all competitive claims are sourced and fair.
**Sales Enablement:** Build and maintain daily sales materials—one-pagers, talk tracks, discovery questions, objection handling, and master decks. Train Sales and Solutions Engineering on new positioning and features. Partner with Channel Partnerships on enablement for technology and reseller partners (ServiceNow, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID).
**Analyst & Industry Relations:** Brief industry analysts (Gartner, KuppingerCole) and manage Nametag's participation in relevant IAM/identity-verification research. Represent Nametag's product story at industry events and customer presentations.
**Pricing, Packaging & Proof:** Own how Nametag communicates pricing and packaging. Maintain ROI/TCO methodology used in sales conversations with rigorous sourcing. Develop customer stories and case studies that serve as proof.
**Customer & Market Research:** Maintain and refine Nametag's IT/security ICP and buyer-persona models. Stay current on threat landscape and regulatory environment, translating insights into content and talking points for Sales and Marketing.
You'll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Growth Marketing, Channel Partnerships, and Product Management, with particularly close ties to the ITSM and IAM integration ecosystem.
**Requirements:**
- 8+ years in product marketing, including several years at a B2B cybersecurity, identity, or enterprise security software company
- Track record of owning positioning and messaging for technical security products that hold up under scrutiny from CISOs and security/IAM leaders
- Experience leading product launches end to end (messaging, sales enablement, cross-functional coordination), not just content around the edges
- Deep fluency with enterprise security buyers and B2B security sales cycles; comfort with technical distinctions (authentication vs. verification) that matter to technical audiences
- Familiarity with ITSM/IAM integration ecosystem (Okta, ServiceNow, Microsoft Entra ID, Zendesk) is a strong plus
- Strong competitive intelligence instincts; comfortable building battlecards and differentiation frameworks that are accurate and fair
- Experience partnering with industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester, KuppingerCole, or similar) is a strong plus
- Excellent, disciplined writing; comfortable enforcing consistent terminology and voice across a fast-moving team
- Experience with sales enablement tooling (HubSpot) and building/maintaining ROI/TCO models is a plus
- Strong ownership mindset; comfortable being the final word on message consistency at a small, fast-growing company
- Enthusiasm for integrating AI tools like Claude into everyday workflow; keen sense of difference between "AI slop" and quality AI-generated assets
