As Director of Private Markets, you will lead and scale a high-performing team of Account Executives focused on Legora's Private Markets vertical—a strategic growth area within the company's Strategic Sales organization. This is a hands-on revenue leadership role combining team management with deep domain expertise in the private equity and investment ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, recruiting, and retaining a team of Account Executives focused on Private Markets, owning pipeline and revenue targets across leading investment firms
- Coaching deal strategy from discovery through multi-stakeholder negotiation and close, grounded in real understanding of investment workflows
- Acting as executive sponsor on high-value deals, building relationships with senior PE and investment stakeholders
- Connecting Legora's capabilities to high-impact workflows like due diligence, IC prep, and portfolio value creation
- Developing and executing account strategy to identify new opportunities and grow long-term strategic relationships
- Representing the voice of the Private Markets sector internally, shaping Legora's positioning and priorities within this market
- Partnering cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to align go-to-market strategy with client needs
- Owning forecasting accuracy and pipeline health for the team
- Building repeatable playbooks and qualification frameworks tailored to Private Markets
You bring 8+ years of experience with 6+ years of deep, credible experience within Private Equity, Investment Banking, Transaction Services, or Management Consulting. You have demonstrated success leading and mentoring team members, managing complex multi-stakeholder processes end-to-end, and engaging senior-level buyers (MDs, Partners, GCs) as a peer. You are comfortable with CRM tools like Salesforce, possess strong analytical and business case development skills, and bring a builder mindset with high ownership and urgency. The role is based in Legora's Union Square office in New York with a collaborative, in-person environment.
