Flexport is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the strategic transformation of its fulfillment network across multiple US states. This pivotal role involves architecting and scaling HR capabilities from the ground up as the company transitions from a contingent to a full-time workforce model across fulfillment centers in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Texas, Georgia, and California. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with Flexport's fulfillment operations and business objectives. You will lead the strategic workforce transition, managing legal compliance, policy development, talent acquisition, and employee integration across all fulfillment centers. You'll build, mentor, and manage a high-performing HR team across geographically dispersed locations while ensuring robust multi-state compliance for all HR policies and practices. You will partner directly with Operations leadership to drive talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management initiatives. Additionally, you'll champion culture, employee engagement, and diversity & inclusion initiatives across the fulfillment network. Required qualifications include 12+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role. You must have proven experience leading HR functions in multi-site, large-scale operational environments such as fulfillment, logistics, or manufacturing. Deep expertise in workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee relations for large non-exempt workforces is essential. Strong knowledge of US labor laws, claim management, and multi-state compliance requirements—particularly in NJ, WI, TX, GA, and CA—is required. A compliance-first mindset is critical given Flexport's heavily regulated industry. Flexport is a global logistics technology company that processes over $19B in merchandise annually across 112 countries. The company is backed by leading investors and plays a central role in global supply chain solutions.
