Chime is seeking a Director of Growth and Acquisition Marketing to lead its full digital acquisition portfolio, including paid social, paid search, affiliate, YouTube, mobile/app networks, and emerging channels. This is a leadership role focused on building teams and capabilities while delivering growth, efficiency, and customer acquisition cost (CAC) targets. Key responsibilities include owning performance across all digital acquisition channels, making portfolio-level investment and prioritization decisions across channels, talent, technology, and vendor partnerships. The director will lead and develop a team of experienced channel managers as a player-coach, staying close enough to the work to challenge assumptions and unblock problems while multiplying impact through people and systems. The role requires building new acquisition channels, partnerships, and technology-enabled growth motions beyond optimizing existing channels. The director must stay plugged into the external digital ecosystem—platforms, agencies, AI/martech vendors, and startups—to identify opportunities early and bring new capabilities into Chime before they become industry standard. A critical mandate is pushing the organization to rebuild how it works around AI, including experimentation, creative production, media buying, and measurement. Cross-functional partnership is essential, working with Media Planning/MMM, Growth Product Marketing, Analytics, Risk, and Finance to align channel strategy with company-level growth goals. The director will represent Digital Acquisition in senior leadership forums, translating channel performance into business outcomes for Growth Leadership Team, Executive Committee, and Board-level audiences. Required qualifications include experience leading a multi-channel digital acquisition or growth organization with meaningful business accountability, a demonstrated record of owning growth and efficiency outcomes, experience managing significant media portfolios and making prioritization tradeoffs, a leadership style blending strategic range with hands-on credibility, experience building and scaling teams, and comfort operating in fast-moving, cross-functional, senior-executive-visible environments.
