Savvy is a Series B fintech company reinventing wealth management for independent financial advisors. The company operates as a registered investment advisor (RIA) that partners with experienced advisors, providing them a modern, AI-native platform, marketing support, investment management, and back-office operations. Savvy has ~150 employees, $105M in funding from top-tier VCs, and is growing 500%+ year-over-year. You will lead all engineering teams building Savvy's product offerings, overseeing multiple product lines including the advisor-facing AI product (Savvy Intelligence, launched April 2026). Each product line has dedicated Engineering, Product, and Design teams reporting to you. Your core responsibilities include owning engineering strategy and execution, setting technical direction across teams, determining team structure and staffing, and ensuring delivery against business priorities. This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You'll review consequential changes, challenge implementation plans, build prototypes to validate approaches, and guide architecture decisions with tech leads. You'll also develop leaders capable of running teams independently and making sound technical decisions. Key responsibilities: partner with Product and Design to translate business priorities into achievable plans; navigate how AI is changing engineering roles and team dynamics; shape the product engineering organization's structure and ownership boundaries; set technical direction and keep product decisions aligned with broader system needs; demonstrate best practices through code reviews and technical guidance; connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes; hold teams accountable for production quality, testing, security, and reliability; and drive talent acquisition and team growth. You should have experience managing multiple engineering teams simultaneously with accountability for delivery, staffing, performance, and growth. You've made prioritization and resource decisions across teams, not just coordinated projects. You have a track record delivering complex customer-facing products with measurable business results, and you can articulate the tradeoffs, setbacks, and impact of your leadership. Strong system-design judgment and current engineering depth are essential.
