As Director of Engineering for HRIS Core Flows, you will lead a 15-person engineering organization responsible for employee transitions, terminations, and AI-assisted HR workflow automation. Your mandate is to make high-stakes employee lifecycle workflows faster, more reliable, and operationally sound at enterprise scale.
Key responsibilities include:
• Define product and technical strategy for AI-assisted workflows that help customers parse employee-change requests, gather missing information, coordinate approvals, and execute changes with transparency and auditability.
• Lead the shift from manual, admin-dependent processes to intelligent, agentic systems that preserve human judgment and control.
• Own the engineering roadmap for workflows that touch critical downstream systems: HR, payroll, benefits, IT, and finance.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on reliability, scalability, and user experience in a high-stakes product surface.
• Partner with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to balance automation with transparency and compliance.
The role sits at the intersection of core HRIS infrastructure and emerging AI capabilities. You'll work on systems that handle some of the most consequential employee changes in an organization, requiring deep technical rigor, operational excellence, and a customer-centric mindset. This is an opportunity to shape how enterprise HR workflows evolve in the age of AI.
