Twilio is seeking a Director of Demand Generation to lead its centralized growth engine and establish single-threaded ownership over demand generation strategy. This is a core management position reporting into senior leadership, responsible for supervising and developing a team of four, including three Senior Managers overseeing High-Touch/ABM, Inbound, and Digital Sales/Self-Service segments, plus one Digital Demand Manager. Key responsibilities include: leading and developing a high-performing team of functional owners; establishing clear operational "swim lanes" to eliminate ownership ambiguity and accelerate GTM program delivery; owning full-funnel pipeline targets and revenue performance metrics in close partnership with Sales leadership; orchestrating global digital media spend across paid and organic channels while testing new ad formats and optimizing conversion metrics; driving AI-first automation through programmatic plays, lifecycle triggers, and automated conversion logic; and collaborating cross-functionally with product marketing, events, brand, and central teams to align corporate strategies with tactical growth goals. Required qualifications include proven people management experience supervising senior individual contributors or managers; comprehensive B2B demand generation background including ABM, verticalized inbound marketing, and digital lifecycle programs; demonstrated experience managing multi-channel digital media budgets and optimizing full-funnel attribution; track record of cross-functional influence with enterprise Sales, Product Marketing, Events, and Brand teams; and hands-on proficiency with modern CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, Marketo) and AI-driven workflow tools. Desired qualifications include familiarity with agile workflows and scalable asset management; experience in vertical segments such as Public Sector, Credit Unions, Non-profit/Humanitarian, or Healthcare and Life Sciences; and analytical capability in resolving data tracking gaps and executing advanced reporting via tools like Tableau. This remote role is based in the USA with occasional travel for team and customer meetings. Compensation varies by location, with ranges from $188,240–$235,300 for select states.
