Cyberhaven is seeking a Director of Communications to build and lead its global communications strategy. Reporting to the CMO, this high-visibility role owns the company's story, thought leadership, media and analyst relations, and influencer partnerships, positioning Cyberhaven as the category leader in data security for the agentic enterprise.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing Cyberhaven's thought leadership strategy through bylines, research, executive ghostwriting, and speaking opportunities that position the company and executives as leading voices in cybersecurity, AI, and data protection. You will build broad advocacy across all key audiences: align employees around the company narrative, partner with customers to develop case studies and speaking opportunities, and work with ecosystem partners to reinforce credibility in the security landscape.
You will build and manage relationships with key industry analysts, journalists, and influencers in the security and B2B software space. Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the CEO and executive team, shaping messaging for high-stakes moments including funding announcements, breach commentary, and market-moving announcements. Partner with Product Marketing, Product Management, Demand, and Sales to align communications with go-to-market priorities and pipeline goals.
The role includes championing AI adoption by identifying and implementing AI tooling to accelerate content creation, media monitoring, and research, leading the team's transformation into an AI-first function. You will develop crisis and issues communications plans specific to the cybersecurity industry, oversee PR agency relationships, manage the communications budget, and build a consistent drumbeat of earned media and industry recognition.
Measure and report on communications impact including share of voice, media/analyst sentiment, and message pull-through to leadership. Cyberhaven is backed by $250M from leading investors like Khosla and Redpoint, with a team including leaders from CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Meta, and Google.
