Reindeer AI is a well-funded, early-stage startup building an agentic AI platform that helps enterprises transform complex business workflows into AI-powered operations. The company works with leading global organizations to deploy AI agents into real business environments and drive measurable enterprise impact.
As Director of Brand & Communications, you will build and own the brand and communications function from the ground up, reporting directly to leadership and working closely with founders. This is a hands-on, strategic role ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and excels at creating structure where none exists.
You will own brand strategy and narrative end-to-end, including positioning, voice development, and brand system architecture that scales across all campaigns and touchpoints. You will conceive and execute brand campaigns from ideation through asset creation and multi-channel deployment. You will set editorial vision and voice guidelines to maintain brand consistency as the company scales.
On the communications and PR side, you will develop media strategy, build press relationships, and secure earned coverage that reaches key audiences. You will own the full comms and media engine, from proactive pitching to reactive response management.
You will also drive founder and executive visibility by positioning founders as recognizable thought leaders through bylines, podcasts, panels, and strategic speaking opportunities. You will ghostwrite, coach, and source visibility opportunities that keep leadership visible without consuming their time.
As the function scales, you will hire and grow the brand and comms team, setting standards for how Reindeer shows up across all channels and touchpoints. You will partner closely with Sales and Product on positioning and go-to-market strategy.
Required: 5+ years in communications, PR, brand, content, editorial, journalism, or founder/executive visibility work (or a portfolio strong enough to make years irrelevant). You must have a track record of earned media placements and/or founder thought leadership you can demonstrate. You need strong media instincts and ideally existing relationships; you understand what makes a story land and are comfortable pitching it yourself. You should have a portfolio or writing samples showing range and distinct voice, including positioning work and published pieces you can claim ownership of. Excellent written English and high editorial standards are essential.
