Motive is a B2B SaaS platform that empowers operations teams—safety, finance, and logistics leaders—to manage drivers, vehicles, equipment, and fleet spend in a single system. The company serves nearly 100,000 customers across transportation, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, and other industries.
As Director of International Marketing, you will lead Motive's go-to-market strategy and expansion across Mexico, the UK, and Canada, while evaluating and driving entry into LATAM, the EU, and beyond. This is a strategic and hands-on role that owns the full P&L-adjacent growth targets and commercial outcomes for these regions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute market entry and scaling plans for each region, including prioritization, localization, and investment cases for executive leadership
- Build and lead a small team of regional marketers and/or agency partners to execute localized campaigns, events, and demand generation
- Set operating cadence and strategic direction for Field Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation, Communications, and Product Marketing across regions
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify whitespace, regulatory considerations, and regional buyer behavior
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships (channel, technology, regional) that accelerate credibility and pipeline
- Partner with regional and global Sales leadership on pipeline coverage models, account targeting, and territory strategy
- Own messaging and positioning adaptation for each market while maintaining brand consistency
- Define success metrics, reporting frameworks, and present results to executive stakeholders
- Run test-and-learn programs to inform scaling, pivoting, or exit decisions
- Manage budget allocation across markets and vendors
- Build repeatable, scalable playbooks for market entry and expansion that can be applied to future geographic growth
- Represent new markets strategy in leadership and board-level discussions
This is a builder's role requiring startup mentality, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to work hands-on. You'll operate as both strategic owner and tactical executor, with no existing playbook to inherit—you'll write it.
