HeartFlow, a publicly traded medical technology company (HTFL), is seeking a Director of HR Operations & Benefits to lead the design, implementation, and administration of global HR programs and processes. The company specializes in AI-driven cardiac diagnostics, with its flagship FFR_CT Analysis product helping clinicians assess coronary artery disease—the #1 cause of death worldwide. The product has been used for over 500,000 patients globally and is cleared in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada. In this Director role, you will manage a team of direct reports and oversee all aspects of HR Operations across a growing, publicly traded organization. Key responsibilities include: **Team Leadership & Development**: Direct and mentor HR Operations team members, fostering continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development in a fast-paced environment. **HRIS & Systems Management**: Oversee the HRIS ecosystem (ADP preferred), including system architecture, maintenance, optimization, data integrity, and analytics to support global HR operations and reporting. **Global Benefits Administration**: Lead strategy, design, and administration of health, welfare, retirement, and wellness plans across multiple jurisdictions. Manage vendor, broker, and consultant relationships; negotiate contracts; and oversee annual renewal cycles. **Compliance & Policy**: Maintain company handbooks and policies across various jurisdictions; ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international employment regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA). Support global team members with region-specific labor standards and frameworks. **Immigration & Mobility**: Manage end-to-end employee immigration workflows, visa sponsorships, international relocations, and operational logistics. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Partner with Finance and Legal on payroll processing, tax filings, audit preparation, billing reconciliation, and SOX/ISO compliance support. **Process Optimization**: Develop scalable methodologies to streamline the employee lifecycle—including global onboarding, offboarding, compensation, leave management, and mobility. You should bring 12+ years of progressively senior HR Operations/Benefits leadership experience in a public company environment, with advanced proficiency in HRIS configuration, reporting, and analytics. Deep expertise in global benefits administration, leave management, immigration processes, and multi-jurisdictional compliance is essential. You'll need hands-on experience building AI-driven workflows and automation for HR operations, plus the ability to evaluate emerging AI tools critically while balancing efficiency gains against employee experience, fairness, and compliance. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required; SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
