Harvey is seeking a Director of Global Benefits to lead the company's benefits and leave-of-absence strategy as it scales across multiple geographies and markets. This is a player-coach role reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
You will own Harvey's global benefits philosophy and program design, defining what "global consistency, local relevance" means as the company enters new markets. You'll lead plan design and redesign across the US and 10+ international markets, balancing employee impact, competitiveness, and cost. This includes developing a comprehensive program roadmap grounded in benchmarking and market analysis.
On the team side, you'll grow and develop the global benefits team across US and EMEA, setting priorities and raising the operating bar. You'll establish service delivery standards—response times, escalation protocols, follow-through—and leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency without sacrificing the employee experience. You'll make benefits legible through clear, localized communication and partner with Recruiting to position benefits as a competitive differentiator.
You'll manage the full annual cycle: renewals, open enrollment, plan changes, carrier transitions, and new-country launches. You'll lead the global leave-of-absence program with consistency and care as volume scales. You'll oversee broker, carrier, and third-party administrator relationships globally, including RFPs, negotiations, contracting, and performance management. You'll ensure compliance with local regulations in each market, partnering with Legal, Security, and Finance on vendor onboarding, data privacy, and risk review. You'll also manage the benefits budget with Finance, using utilization, cost, and sentiment data to inform decisions.
Required: 10+ years in benefits with 3+ years leading and developing a team, ideally in high-growth tech. Deep US expertise across health and welfare, 401(k), leave, and compliance (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA). Real international experience designing or administering benefits in EMEA and/or APAC. You're both strategic and hands-on—comfortable presenting to executives and solving technical problems. Strong vendor and broker management experience, financial fluency, and exceptional communication skills. You have a builder mentality, comfort with ambiguity, and active experience using AI tools to streamline work.
