Kaizen Labs is a government technology company founded in 2022 and based in New York City. The company has raised $35 million from top-tier investors (NEA, a16z, Accel, 776, Carpenter Capital) and is on a mission to modernize American public services by replacing legacy government systems with AI-native software. The platform currently reaches 55 million Americans across 50+ agencies, with a goal to reach 100 million residents by year-end.
As Senior Recruiter for Go-to-Market, you will own full-cycle recruiting for federal sales hiring, all G&A (General & Administrative) roles, and operations functions. This is a high-impact role at a critical growth moment—the company is scaling federal sales, building out G&A infrastructure, and expanding operations simultaneously, and recruiting hasn't kept pace with business velocity.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end recruiting from intake through offer for federal sales, G&A, and operations; building relationship-based sourcing strategies rather than relying on inbound or job boards; delivering a white-glove candidate experience at every touchpoint; using AI tools as core infrastructure for sourcing, screening, and pipeline management; partnering directly with hiring managers to translate vague needs into sharp, specific searches; and building specialized pipelines for roles with thin or hard-to-reach candidate pools, particularly federal/public sector sales talent. You'll represent Kaizen's mission credibly to candidates and help them understand why government technology is a compelling next move.
You bring 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a track record of owning searches independently. You have experience recruiting for GTM, sales, or G&A functions, ideally with some exposure to federal, public sector, or specialized talent pools. You operate with a relationship-first sourcing style, building pipeline through real outreach and follow-through rather than search strings alone. You have genuine fluency with AI tools in your day-to-day recruiting workflow—this is how the job gets done, not an occasional shortcut. You're comfortable operating with minimal process and building your own structure as you go.
Strong candidates may also have experience recruiting into startups or other high-ambiguity environments, prior exposure to federal contracting or govtech hiring, or a track record of building or improving recruiting processes or tool stacks at previous companies.
