Swarm Aero is building autonomous swarming aircraft and Legion, the software platform that coordinates hundreds of heterogeneous UAVs as a single coordinated swarm. Series A-backed by Khosla Ventures and Coatue, the company is solving critical hiring constraints on the path to production.
As Technical Sourcer, you own top-of-funnel recruitment for software engineering roles (backend, frontend, autonomy, forward-deployed). Your core responsibilities include sourcing candidates via GitHub and professional networks, writing personalized outreach that engineers actually respond to, and building repeatable search strategies that continue producing beyond obvious candidates.
Within your first year, you transition to sourcing for the aircraft engineering side: propulsion, structures, avionics, manufacturing, production. This dual expertise—sourcing both software and aerospace talent—is rare and career-defining. The company commits to teaching you the aerospace domain; you will own the learning curve.
You will have direct access to hiring managers (same building, no intake forms), autonomy to adjust messaging when outreach underperforms, and mentorship from leadership that runs sourcing searches daily. Your work directly impacts the flight schedule; recruiting is on the critical path.
Requirements: 1+ years sourcing or recruiting (primarily software engineering), a specific hire you're proud of that demonstrates your sourcing methodology, high tolerance for low response rates, genuine curiosity about aerospace/defense, and writing that sounds human. Clean data habits essential—reporting goes to the CEO.
The role demands comfort with ambiguity and pace. You will be asked to fill roles you don't yet understand; the expectation is to learn rather than wait for briefings. This is not a structured-ladder role; it's for someone ready to own something real.
ITAR requirement: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain State Department authorization.
