Harvey is an AI platform transforming legal and professional services, backed by strong investor support and operating at a true inflection point. The company is scaling rapidly across headcount and geographies, now operating in a dozen countries.
You will be Harvey's first Director of Global Benefits, owning the benefits and leave strategy end-to-end as the company scales. This is a player/coach role requiring someone who has built and run a global benefits function in a fast-scaling environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategy & Plan Design: Define Harvey's global benefits and leave philosophy, balancing global consistency with local relevance. Lead plan design across the US and 10+ international markets, grounded in benchmarking and market analysis. Build a program roadmap for benefits, wellness, and leave.
Team & Service Delivery: Grow and develop the global benefits team across US and EMEA. Set and hold standards for service delivery—response times, escalation, follow-through. Leverage AI and automation to increase team capacity without sacrificing employee experience. Make benefits legible through clear, localized communication that supports recruiting.
Programs, Vendors & Spend: Oversee the annual cycle end-to-end: renewals, open enrollment, plan changes, carrier transitions, new-country launches. Lead the global leave program with consistency and care. Hold brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators accountable globally through RFPs, negotiations, contracting, and performance management. Ensure compliance with local regulations in each market. Manage the benefits budget with Finance, using utilization, cost, and sentiment data to inform decisions.
You'll report to the Head of Total Rewards and partner closely with People Operations, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and Recruiting. The role requires deep US benefits expertise (health/welfare, 401(k), leave, ERISA/ACA/COBRA/HIPAA/FMLA compliance), real international experience in EMEA and/or APAC, vendor and broker management skills, financial fluency, and exceptional communication. You should be strategic and hands-on, comfortable with ambiguity, and experienced using AI tools to streamline benefits work.
