Motive is seeking a Director of Experiential Marketing to own the strategy, planning, and execution of the company's flagship user conference (Vision), executive events, and internal events portfolio. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy and executive exposure, operating as the single-threaded owner for Motive's most visible and strategically important customer, prospect, and employee moments. You will lead end-to-end event strategy and execution, including attendee experience design, executive programming, content flow, sponsorship activation, and onsite operations. You'll manage a fully embedded agency partner, large budgets, and a complex vendor ecosystem across production, creative, logistics, registration technology, and execution. The role requires close partnership with Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Campaigns, Brand, Communications, Sales, Finance, Legal, and People teams to ensure events drive pipeline, engagement, and brand trust aligned to GTM strategy. Key responsibilities include owning the annual user conference Vision from strategy through post-event reporting; serving as stakeholder for internal events like company kickoffs and leadership offsites; managing external agencies and holding them accountable; acting as trusted partner to executive leadership with prep and onsite support; driving continuous improvement through data and tooling; managing complex multi-line-item budgets in real time; supporting global event expansion across regions and time zones; and ensuring operational excellence across timelines, contracts, and risk management for large-scale multi-day events. You'll operate with significant autonomy, leading through influence rather than formal authority, while maintaining hands-on execution of critical details. Success requires strategic thinking, flawless execution under pressure, comfort with executive stakeholders, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities.
