Culture Amp is seeking a Director of Commercial Sales to lead the Mid-Market segment sales team, managing Account Executives and Account Managers focused on companies up to 1,000 employees. This is a genuine team-building role where you will recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sellers while staying close to key deals to provide coaching and strategic guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coach and develop Account Executives and Account Managers through 1:1 feedback, performance reviews, and hands-on deal involvement
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop AEs and AMs who embody both strong skills and company values
- Partner closely with your Customer Experience Director counterpart in a Pod Model, aligned on strategy and jointly accountable for customer experience across the full lifecycle
- Set team vision and translate it into sustainable quarterly strategy to achieve quota
- Establish forecasting discipline, pipeline management, and performance tracking that surfaces issues early
Required qualifications:
- Proven track record of building and developing sales teams in B2B SaaS (3+ years leading a sales team)
- Fluency with sales mechanics: Salesforce, Gong, forecasting discipline, and MEDDPICC or equivalent qualification frameworks
- Experience growing revenue through both new logo acquisition and customer expansion
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Customer Experience and SDR teams
- Ability to influence and lead through relationships rather than authority alone
