Salary: USD 332,120 - 415,150 / annual
Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security and management, is seeking a Director of Commercial Sales to build and lead a sales organization in a whitespace territory. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own territory strategy, build a team of direct sales managers, and drive revenue growth across enterprise accounts.
You will be responsible for developing and executing Cohesity's territory strategy, setting goals and quotas for your sales management team, and ensuring consistent achievement and overachievement of targets. Your core responsibilities include recruiting and developing a direct sales management team, who will in turn build and optimize a tiered sales organization. You'll balance strategic leadership with customer-facing engagement, working closely with extended teams including Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Inside Sales, Channel Management, and Field Marketing to generate new business and close large deals.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with a track record of managing 6+ direct sales manager reports in fast-paced, competitive environments. You should have demonstrated success negotiating large 7-figure deals with sophisticated buyers, building strategic partnerships with OEMs, and coordinating cross-functional teams to exceed quota. You are a self-starter with high standards, strong leadership presence, and the ability to work with limited direction. A BA/BS degree is required, and you must be willing to travel 50%+ of the time.
