Salary: USD 140,000 - 165,000 / annual

Metropolis Technologies is pioneering the Recognition Economy through AI and computer vision technology, transforming parking and expanding into retail and hospitality. The company is seeking a Director of Business Development to own a regional territory in Jacksonville, driving net-new business and negotiating deals. In this role, you will own the full sales cycle in the Jacksonville region, from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation and close. You'll identify and develop net-new business opportunities through multiple lead generation channels including cold outreach and networking events. Using a consultative approach, you'll uncover client pain points and translate them into customized, solution-oriented proposals. You'll lead client presentations including discovery sessions and proposal delivery, and build relationships across key stakeholder groups. You'll work cross-functionally with teams on underwriting and financial modeling, collaborate with marketing, operations, and legal to align efforts with overall business goals, and monitor pipeline development and sales performance metrics in CRM to drive continuous improvement. You'll stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform business development strategies. This is positioned as a key individual contributor role with regional territory ownership and significant autonomy in deal-making and relationship building. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years in B2B business development, sales, or related roles - Experience selling into asset managers, ownership groups, or other real estate partners - Demonstrated ability to create new relationships and leverage existing ones to generate opportunities and accelerate deal velocity - Strong understanding of P&L and creative deal structuring - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in net-new, greenfield territories - Skilled in managing complex, multi-threaded deals with strong negotiation and closing capabilities - Creative approach to communicating value propositions across diverse audiences - Data-literate with experience in pipeline management and forecasting - Proficient in sales tools and CRM platforms, such as Salesforce - Willingness to travel regionally to support clients and prospecting - Experience leveraging AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes PLUS (not required): - Experience selling within proptech, mobility, or related industries
