Salary: USD 150,000 - 200,000 / annual

Blitzy is an AI software development platform transforming how enterprises build software. The company autonomously executes 80% of software development work, serving Fortune 500 customers and backed by tier-1 investors. As Director of Business Development, you will build and lead Blitzy's BDR organization from the ground up. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you own strategy, hiring, and day-to-day performance of a 20-person team with a mandate to scale and drive qualified pipeline across all segments and geographies. Key responsibilities include: - Leading the BDR organization and continuously improving outbound pipeline generation - Reviewing and refining the BDR playbook including sequencing, messaging, ICP targeting, and qualification criteria in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations - Developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing BDR managers and individual contributors - Managing pipeline coverage models and holding teams accountable to targets - Partnering with Sales leadership on clean BDR-to-AE handoffs and joint accountability for pipeline quality - Strengthening operating cadence for pipeline reviews, rep coaching, activity metrics, and performance management - Working cross-functionally with Enablement on onboarding, ramp programs, and skills development - Tracking and improving key metrics: pipeline generated, conversion rates, ramp time, rep productivity, and attainment - Serving as a player-coach, modeling prospecting behaviors and standards You bring 7+ years of sales or business development experience, with at least 4 years leading BDR or SDR teams at B2B SaaS or infrastructure software companies. You have a proven track record building and scaling BDR functions from hiring through pipeline targets and quota attainment. You understand outbound sales motions, modern prospecting tools (Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Nooks, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Lusha), and pipeline hygiene standards. You thrive in high-growth, product-led or hybrid go-to-market environments, are data-driven with strong pipeline modeling and forecasting skills, and have a track record of developing BDR talent and building cultures of accountability.
