VAST Data is seeking a Director of Business Development – AI Partnerships to lead strategy and partnerships across the emerging AI inference and accelerator ecosystem. VAST is building an Operating System for AI, unifying fragmented infrastructure stacks (storage, databases, messaging, virtualization, AI pipelines) into a single intelligent software platform purpose-built for the AI era.
In this role, you will own VAST's business development strategy across AI inference and accelerator companies, building strategic relationships with emerging AI compute, semiconductor, and accelerator firms. You'll develop joint strategies with companies across the broader inference ecosystem, including alternative accelerators, CPUs, GPUs, and purpose-built AI architectures.
Key responsibilities include: understanding partner technologies deeply to determine their fit within the broader AI infrastructure stack and how VAST complements them; defining "better together" technical and business value propositions for each partnership; translating technical alignment into joint solutions, reference architectures, enterprise use cases, and repeatable go-to-market motions; building joint account strategies and co-selling motions; connecting VAST's sales, solutions, product, and engineering teams with partner counterparts; taking partnerships from early conversations through technical exploration to joint solution development and field execution; and continuously evaluating the rapidly changing market to inform VAST's strategic partnership priorities.
