Backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC, Halter is expanding from its New Zealand base into South America.
You will be Halter's first commercial leader in Argentina and Uruguay, reporting directly to the VP of Commercial Strategy. This is a greenfield opportunity to build and scale the entire commercial organization from the ground up in one of the world's largest beef and cattle markets.
Key responsibilities include: (1) Building and leading a regional commercial team—hiring, coaching, and performance-managing sales, marketing, and customer success functions; (2) Owning the revenue number and commercial operating model, including pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and territory performance; (3) Leading regional marketing strategy, adapting global campaigns to the Argentine and Uruguayan market, and building brand presence at industry events; (4) Owning the full customer lifecycle—deployment, adoption, retention, and expansion—ensuring farmers see measurable value; (5) Serving as the primary voice of the South American farmer to Halter's global product team, translating field insights into product requirements and roadmap priorities.
This is a deeply hands-on role. You'll spend significant time in the field with farmers and ranchers, shaping execution on the ground, and ensuring your team consistently raises the bar. You'll partner closely with Halter's New Zealand headquarters, influence global go-to-market strategy, and play a key role in proving product-market fit in a new region. The role demands discipline and rigor alongside warmth, candor, and high support for your team.
