As Director of Account Management for the SME & Growth segment in ANZ, you will lead the post-sale growth engine and serve as the strategic architect for product adoption across the existing customer base. You will directly manage four Team Leads/Managers overseeing 25+ Account Managers and Customer Success Managers, building high-performing teams that deliver exceptional commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing GTM strategy to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and customer retention within the SME segment. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor to ensure Airwallex solutions deliver transformational value. Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Revenue Operations is essential to translate customer needs into product improvements and GTM initiatives.
You will set and report on team goals focused on revenue, product penetration, and customer satisfaction, tracking KPIs and implementing training programs to enhance performance. As an escalation point for complex client challenges, you will anticipate and resolve issues while mitigating risks to satisfaction and retention. You will champion Airwallex's operating principles and values as a culture carrier across the business.
Minimum qualifications include 12+ years of sales or account management experience with at least 8 years in leadership roles, ideally in fintech, payments, consulting, or investment banking. You must have a proven track record building and leading high-performing teams to achieve ambitious commercial targets in high-growth environments. Strong analytical skills, deep understanding of the fintech and payments ecosystem including regulations, and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are required. Experience developing GTM strategies, driving product adoption, and managing complex client portfolios is essential. A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree in business or finance is preferred.
Preferred qualifications include consulting or investment banking background, technical proficiency with CRM and analytics tools (Salesforce, Looker, SQL), and experience with API-based or SaaS product sales.
