ApplyBoard is seeking a Student Journey Counselor to help international students navigate their study abroad applications. This is an individual contributor sales role focused on achieving student enrollment goals through personalized advising and support.
You will advise international students on selecting schools and programs aligned with their academic background, career goals, and admission probabilities. You'll guide students through the application process, including document gathering (transcripts, language tests, resumes, statements of purpose), deadline management, and next steps. Communication happens via phone, email, WhatsApp, CRM, and other tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing tailored academic and program advice based on student profiles
- Assisting with application navigation and document preparation
- Engaging students across multiple channels to answer queries and provide updates
- Identifying and reporting student needs and challenges
- Managing large student volumes with organization and diligence
- Following up regularly to support the application journey
You bring sales experience (required) plus academic advising or international education background. Preference given to those with experience counseling students for Canada, UK, US, Germany, Ireland, or Australia. You have strong sales skills with a track record of exceeding targets, excellent verbal and written communication, and cultural sensitivity. You're familiar with international education systems, admission processes, and visa requirements. You're self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and able to learn quickly about changing visa rules and education programs. Experience with CRMs, AI tools, and Google Workspace is expected. You're organized, detail-oriented, and flexible with working hours.
