Candescent is a fintech company that transforms how financial institutions deliver intelligent banking experiences through digital banking, account opening, and branch solutions. The company combines human-centered design with data, automation, and cloud-based innovation on an API-first architecture.
The Digital Strategy Executive role is a senior account management and business development position responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with executive-level decision makers across Candescent's existing client base. You will manage a portfolio of approximately 15 digital banking clients in the Western U.S., with an assigned revenue quota tied to both retention and expansion.
Key responsibilities include owning a defined book of business and achieving revenue retention and growth goals through account planning, product expansion, and strategic collaboration. You will engage consultatively with executive stakeholders to align their digital strategy with business outcomes, conduct quarterly business reviews (with onsite visits as needed), and analyze results to identify opportunities for multi-product adoption. You'll educate clients on the business impact of Candescent's products and services, prepare and deliver proposals and presentations, and negotiate renewals while maintaining high client satisfaction.
Collaboration is central to the role—you'll work closely with internal teams in sales, marketing, product, and implementation to ensure smooth delivery and client success. You'll also stay informed of industry trends and represent Candescent at trade shows, conferences, and client events.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in financial services or technology software in a sales or account management role with proven revenue results, strong executive relationship-building skills up to C-level, and experience within the banking or credit union space either as a practitioner or vendor partner. You must be proficient in consultative, solutions-based selling and strategic account management, able to manage multiple initiatives in complex organizations, skilled in Microsoft applications and CRM tools, and capable of working independently from a remote environment. SaaS/PaaS software sales or management experience is required.
