Alsym Energy is seeking a Digital Content & Marketing Specialist to serve as the voice and visual storyteller across the company's digital channels. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring someone who can move fluidly between content creation, video production, and community engagement.
You will own daily social media management across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, and emerging platforms. A core responsibility is video production and editing—conceptualizing, shooting, and editing short-form and long-form content (behind-the-scenes lab footage, product explainers, executive interviews) using tools like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or Canva. You'll also write compelling copy, design basic graphics, and maintain a consistent visual brand identity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Social Media Management: Daily execution and scheduling across multiple platforms
- Video Production & Editing: Shoot and edit content, often on the fly
- Content Creation: Write copy, design graphics, build visual consistency
- Community Engagement: Monitor channels, engage with the clean energy community, track trending topics
- Analytics & Growth: Measure platform performance and iterate based on what resonates
- Marketing Stack: Leverage modern marketing platforms, generative AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude), design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud), and CMS platforms (WordPress)
You should have a BS in Marketing, Creative Writing, Film/Media, or Communications, with 1–4 years of hands-on experience (strong co-op, internship, or portfolio work counts). You're proficient with video editing tools and smartphone filmmaking, comfortable with all social channels, and have demonstrated ability to grow followers and awareness. Most importantly, you're a resourceful "do-er" who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes initiative, and genuinely cares about renewable energy and battery technology.
Alsym Energy develops non-flammable, high-performance, low-cost sodium-ion batteries for AI data centers, utilities, and commercial real estate. The company is positioned in the rapidly growing energy storage sector, projected to grow 23% annually through 2035.
The role is based in Malden, MA, within walking distance of the train station, with free on-site parking and gym access. Compensation: $60–85k annually.
