EVERSANA is a global commercialization services company serving the life sciences industry with 6,000+ employees across 650+ clients. This Diagnostic Specialist role is field-based, covering the New England region (CT, RI, Upstate NY, NH, ME, MA), with a home base in Boston.
You will serve as a diagnostic leader responsible for educating healthcare providers on genetic testing initiatives and programs, with deep expertise aligned with global diagnostic strategy for your assigned U.S. region. This is a high-impact, patient-focused role in the rare disease space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate healthcare providers on genetic testing to execute client awareness programs for sponsored testing initiatives
- Identify educational needs within the inherited retinal disease (IRD) community and provide targeted education on genetic labs, gene analysis, and test result interpretation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and clients to develop and implement U.S. diagnostic strategy
- Identify and engage Genetic Testing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with educational needs; attend conferences to stay current on diagnostic programs
- Participate in compliant advocacy and outreach with local organizations
- Deliver high-quality education to HCPs and partner labs, ensuring seamless testing utilization
- Provide expertise on IRD gene panels and best practices for test requisition
You'll work in a matrixed environment, collaborating with diverse teams, labs, and internal/external stakeholders. Extensive travel is required throughout the region via car, plane, and train. You'll be expected to work with modern tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar AI platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS minimum; healthcare degree strongly preferred (MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD)
- 7+ years pharma/biotech experience in commercial, clinical/medical, or diagnostics
- Proven success in high-performing, diverse teams
- Experience collaborating with KOLs, labs, and stakeholders
- Prior rare/ultra-rare disease experience with strong patient focus preferred
- Diagnostic and scientific acumen; strategic thinking and operational capability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of ophthalmology strongly preferred
