EVERSANA is seeking a Diagnostic Specialist to serve as a field-based diagnostic leader for the New England region (CT, RI, MA, NH, ME, and Upstate NY). This role is responsible for educating healthcare providers on genetic testing initiatives and programs, with a focus on inherited retinal diseases (IRD).
Key responsibilities include:
• Genotyping & Diagnostic Leadership: Educate healthcare providers on genetic testing to execute client diagnostic programs. Identify educational needs within the IRD community and provide expertise on genetic labs, IRD panels, and accurate result interpretation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal client teams to develop and implement U.S. diagnostic strategy while maintaining compliance.
• Stakeholder Education & Advocacy: Identify and educate Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) on genetic testing programs. Attend conferences, participate in advocacy and outreach with local organizations, and deliver high-quality education to inform strategy. Provide training to HCPs and partner labs on test requisition best practices and resources.
The role requires extensive travel throughout the assigned region via car, plane, and train. Candidates must live in close proximity to a major airport hub.
Required qualifications: BA/BS degree (healthcare degree strongly preferred: MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD). Minimum 7+ years of pharma/biotech experience in commercial, clinical/medical, or diagnostics roles. Proven success in high-performing, diverse teams with experience collaborating with KOLs, labs, and stakeholders. Prior experience in rare or ultra-rare diseases with patient focus preferred. Strong diagnostic and scientific acumen, strategic thinking, and operational capability. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of ophthalmology strongly preferred.
