Stratio is a predictive maintenance and condition monitoring platform serving the global transportation industry, with over 1.3 billion annual travelers relying on their technology. This DevOps Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on building and operating the cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure that powers Stratio's AI/ML solutions in production. You will own the platform layer supporting Stratio's AI models and data pipelines. Key responsibilities include: managing cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, storage) across AWS, GCP, or Azure; deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration; building and operating GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runners; implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible; establishing observability and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and similar tools; ensuring security, compliance, and IAM best practices; managing Linux-based systems at scale; and optimizing for reliability and cost using FinOps principles. Required qualifications: BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field; solid hands-on experience operating at least one major cloud platform; strong Infrastructure as Code and automation skills; Kubernetes and Docker expertise; large-scale Linux system administration; observability and monitoring experience; SRE/DevOps background; on-call capability; fluent English. Bonus skills include AWS/Terraform certifications, CI/CD pipeline experience, MQTT infrastructure, distributed databases, multi-region architectures, microservices deployment (Kafka), and open-source passion. This is not an AI/ML engineering role—you build the infrastructure that AI models run on. The company operates real production systems on commercial fleets daily, offering genuine scale and impact. The role is hybrid based in Coimbra with remote flexibility, requiring monthly in-person attendance. Stratio offers competitive salary (€22–30k annually), health insurance, flexible hours, 22 vacation days plus 3 additional days, hardware/software stipend, and a culture emphasizing autonomy, continuous feedback, and career acceleration.
