Sarvam AI is building India's full-stack sovereign AI platform, backed by Lightspeed, Peak XV, and Khosla Ventures. This Developer Relations Engineer role combines engineering, content creation, and community building to help developers succeed with Sarvam's models.
You will be a developer first, responsible for building demos, cookbooks, integrations, and technical content that showcase what's possible with Sarvam's AI models. Your code and writing will often be a developer's first experience with the platform, and you'll maintain high standards for both.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building cookbook recipes and end-to-end code examples covering voice agents, multilingual RAG, document AI, and Indic-language applications, with working Colab notebooks
- Creating technical content including blog posts, tutorials, quickstarts, and how-to guides; presenting talks, livestreams, and videos
- Shipping integrations with platforms like LiveKit, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vercel AI SDK, and Pipecat
- Improving SDK and documentation developer experience by identifying friction points and shipping improvements to Python SDK, TypeScript adapter, and docs
- Monitoring SDK installs, cookbook usage, error rates, and integration adoption to surface insights for prioritization
You should have 1–3 years of experience as a software engineer, developer advocate, or in technical content roles with real code shipped to production. You're proficient in Python and ideally TypeScript, with the ability to explain code clearly to developers new to Sarvam. You have a portfolio of public work—projects, repos, blogs, talks, or demos—that demonstrates your thinking and building approach.
You're genuinely curious about language and AI, particularly how speech, translation, and LLMs work in the context of Indian languages. You write clearly across all mediums: documentation, tutorials, Discord replies, and commit messages. You're passionate about teaching and delivering technical content effectively, whether through talks, workshops, livestreams, or tutorials. You move fast, follow through on loosely defined briefs, and ship polished work independently.
Bonus experience includes building with LLM/voice/speech APIs, open source contributions, speaking at meetups or conferences, or creating developer-facing content with an audience.
