Supabase is a Postgres development platform providing a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. The company serves 350,000+ developers and operates as a globally distributed, open-source-first organization with ~400 team members across 60+ countries. As a Developer Relations Engineer, you'll be the bridge between Supabase and the broader developer ecosystem. Your primary responsibilities include creating high-impact technical content (especially video), building real-world demo applications, and representing Supabase at community events, meetups, and online platforms. You'll ship full-stack projects using technologies like Next.js, React, and Stripe, then write guides that developers can follow and remix. You'll also engage directly with the community on Discord, Twitter, and YouTube, celebrate contributors, surface developer feedback to the product team, and help reduce friction for new users. You'll collaborate across engineering, product, and growth teams to amplify product launches and prioritize content initiatives. This role requires strong full-stack engineering skills—particularly JavaScript/TypeScript and Postgres—combined with the ability to create compelling technical narratives. You should be equally comfortable writing code and teaching others, and energized by building community whether online or in person. The ideal candidate has shipped full-stack applications, created technical content (written or video), and is comfortable representing a product publicly on camera, on stage, or online. Bonus experience includes a growing audience on YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter; prior DevRel or open-source contributions; or hands-on experience with Supabase itself. Supabase offers full remote work globally with no offices, ESOP equity for all team members, a tech allowance, 100% health insurance coverage, annual company off-sites, flexible asynchronous work, and an annual professional development budget.
