Arize AI is a Series C AI observability and evaluation platform backed by $135M+ in funding, serving 150+ enterprises including Booking.com, Uber, and Siemens. The company provides tools for AI engineers to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI systems from prototype to production scale.
This role owns the documentation strategy for Arize's flagship products (Arize AX and Arize Phoenix), with a unique dual mandate: creating documentation that works seamlessly for both human developers and AI coding agents. You'll be responsible for keeping product documentation accurate as features ship, expanding guides and cookbooks that enable developers to go from first read to working code independently, and ensuring Arize is documented correctly across partner integrations and external educational materials.
Key responsibilities include: owning the health and accuracy of product documentation; building automated systems to monitor documentation quality, detect drift between docs and code, test code samples, and draft updates for review; structuring content for machine readability so AI agents can complete tasks using docs alone; writing and refreshing tutorials, cookbooks, and demonstration repositories; coordinating with integration partners and framework maintainers on external documentation; and creating an onboarding experience measured by whether new users reach their first working evaluation unassisted.
Secondary responsibilities span community engagement: gathering feedback to inform product roadmaps, providing source material for marketing and SEO initiatives, representing Arize at conferences and meetups, serving as a first point of contact for community questions, and collaborating with Product on feature prototypes.
The role emphasizes using AI-driven automation to scale impact—you're expected to build systems that spot stale content, catch code-doc drift, and automate routine updates rather than hand-editing pages indefinitely. Strong writing and editing skills are essential, but the expectation is to leverage AI tools to amplify your effectiveness. While Arize is remote-first, this role benefits from San Francisco Bay Area proximity for in-person developer events and community engagement.
