Axelera AI is seeking a Developer Relations and Community Manager to grow and nurture the developer community around its Metis AI Platform and Voyager toolchain. You will serve as the primary point of contact across Axelera's community platform, GitHub, Discord, Reddit, and social channels, responding to technical questions, moderating discussions, and helping developers debug real deployments involving driver issues, SDK compatibility, and performance tuning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to technical questions across community platforms (Gainsight experience helpful), GitHub, and social channels. Help developers get to the right resources and maintain a well-moderated, high-signal space.
- Content Creation & Curation: Develop tutorials, product update posts, social updates, and newsletters for a technical audience. Use AI tools to accelerate content drafting and localization while maintaining technical accuracy and human voice. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and fact-checked before publication, especially for SDK versions, benchmarks, and hardware specifications.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with key influencers, edge AI leaders, power users, hobbyists, and integrators building on Metis with Raspberry Pi, Home Assistant, and maker-space tools.
- Event Planning: Organize and host community events, webinars, and meetups (in-person and virtual) tied to product launches (Voyager SDK releases, new Metis form factors, Europa AIPU) and industry events (ISC West, Embedded World).
- Product Advocacy: Showcase Voyager SDK and Metis AIPU capabilities, gather and route community feedback to product teams, and advocate for community-requested features.
- Community Growth & Health: Grow the community organically while maintaining high signal-to-noise. Maintain healthy forums with tagging, categorization, and response-time SLAs. Use AI-assisted tools to triage and route questions.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track engagement metrics (response times, resolution rates, sentiment, growth) and use AI-assisted analysis to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Open-Source Collaboration: Encourage contributions to Voyager SDK (issues, forks, PRs), highlight community-built solutions, and work with community members and engineering to resolve publicly posted technical issues.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of the AI hardware landscape with experience in community management or developer relations at a technical company (semiconductor, embedded, or AI/ML tooling preferred).
- Existing presence or credibility within AI/developer communities with a track record of building relationships with technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate SDK-level and hardware-level detail into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences (hobbyists to enterprise engineers).
- Comfort with developer-facing platforms (GitHub, forums, Discord/Slack-style tools) and standard social channels and community management tooling.
- Demonstrated, practical fluency with modern AI tools (LLM-based writing/research assistants, AI-assisted analytics, content generation) and good judgment about when human review and accuracy checks are critical.
- Good working understanding of the software/SDK development lifecycle, enough to follow technical discussions around model deployment, drivers, and pipeline building.
- Experience with or genuine interest in the maker community (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, single-board computers, home automation).
- Genuine interest in supporting a technical, self-sustaining community focused on usefulness and trustworthiness, not just growth metrics.
- Creative and strategic thinking; ability to design and execute community strategies that drive engagement and product adoption.
- Comfortable working with engagement data and metrics, including using AI-assisted tools to process and interpret them.
