The Developer Experience Engineer role focuses on making ElevenLabs the gold standard for developer experience. You will design, build, and maintain open source projects including server and client SDKs and MCP servers to drive developer adoption. You'll be directly involved in shaping the developer journey for new and existing products.
Key responsibilities include designing and improving the ElevenLabs API, building developer tooling, and acting as "customer zero" for new developer products. You'll work across multiple programming languages and the full stack, with a hands-on approach to engineering.
The ideal candidate has experience creating or maintaining SDKs and open source projects. You should have strong full-stack engineering skills with a flair for API design, and a passion for writing engaging technical content including in-depth blog posts. Excellent communication skills are essential for triaging technical issues and supporting the developer community. A bonus is experience attending, speaking, and engaging at developer conferences.
