LlamaIndex is seeking a Developer Evangelist to be the public face of LlamaParse, an agentic OCR and document parsing engine for AI applications. LlamaParse helps enterprises and developers turn complex documents—dense PDFs, scanned files, tables, forms—into clean structured data at scale (millions of pages daily).
In this role, you'll be the primary evangelist for LlamaParse, spending significant time at conferences, meetups, hackathons, and workshops speaking, running live demos, and connecting directly with developers and engineering teams. You'll represent the product in person and on camera, showing real-world document parsing in action: messy files going in, structured data coming out.
Key responsibilities include:
- Representing LlamaParse at industry events through speaking, live demos, and developer engagement
- Creating and sharing technical content across social media (X, LinkedIn, YouTube), including demos, before-and-after examples, and launch content
- Producing technical content in multiple formats: video walkthroughs, livestreams, blog posts, and conference talks
- Building sharp, convincing demos and example applications using realistic, hard documents
- Partnering with product and engineering teams on launches to drive adoption through coordinated content and demos
- Staying connected to the developer community, answering questions, and bringing feedback back to the team
You should be a natural evangelist who thrives on stage and on camera, with the ability to make technical products genuinely compelling. You need strong technical depth—able to build with LlamaParse and write working code in Python and/or TypeScript—so your demos are authentic and your credibility is earned. Clear technical communication is essential; you should explain document parsing and structured extraction to both beginners and senior engineers.
You'll need a consistent, strong presence on social media with a track record of creating technical content developers find valuable. Real enthusiasm for events, travel, and being approachable and memorable in person is critical. Working knowledge of the AI application landscape (LLMs, RAG, OCR, document pipelines) is required.
The role is based in or hybrid from the San Francisco Bay Area with genuine willingness to travel for events. This is positioned as an open-level role where demonstrated ability to evangelize and demo compellingly matters more than years of experience.
