LaunchDarkly is seeking a Developer Advocate for Growth to convert trial signups and developer-tier users into activated, successful customers. The role bridges technical enablement and growth, combining personalized outreach with AI-assisted workflows to help developers succeed with the platform. Key responsibilities include: activating high-intent signups routed by the Growth team with clear coverage and response commitments; providing hands-on help solving real problems (SDK integration, tutorials, working examples); building a public voice through tutorials, videos, and posts to establish credibility before outreach; creating first-success content and running office hours to demonstrate platform value beyond feature flags (experimentation, observability, guarded releases, AI Configs); designing and maintaining AI-assisted workflows for outreach, next-step suggestions, and usage analysis; feeding insights back to Growth and Product teams on what drives activation; and cleanly handing off sales conversations, support escalations, and product issues to appropriate teams. Success is measured by: timely, personalized follow-through on every routed high-value lead; moving enterprise trialists from evaluation to real usage; demonstrating pipeline and expansion influence through attribution; earning replies because developers recognize your prior work; enabling better Growth and Product decisions through feedback; and evolving the playbook based on what works. Required qualifications: technical foundation from prior developer, support engineer, solutions engineer, or customer-facing technologist role with ability to troubleshoot SDK integrations; genuine empathy for developers and motivation to solve real problems; curiosity about business mechanics (funnels, activation, conversion); fluency with AI tools and ability to build workflows; strong communication across writing, video, and live sessions; comfort with ambiguity and evolving expectations. Bonus experience includes: developer advocacy or growth roles at product-led developer tools companies (Stripe, Vercel, Supabase); existing audience or content track record with developer audiences; experience with intent signals, lead scoring, or product analytics; breadth across languages, frameworks, and SDKs.
