Signadot is hiring its first dedicated Developer Advocate to establish and grow the DevRel function from the ground up. The company provides verification infrastructure for the agentic era—a Kubernetes-native platform that helps developers and AI agents build and verify microservices at scale.
In this role, you will be the connective tissue between cloud-native developer communities and Signadot's engineering and marketing teams. You'll establish authentic presence in the communities where users already gather: Discord, Slack, subreddits, X, GitHub, and the broader CNCF ecosystem. This is not about paid promotion—credibility in these channels is earned through genuine contribution and helping developers solve real problems.
Key responsibilities include:
**Community Engagement & Brand Presence**: Participate authentically in relevant Slacks, Discords, subreddits, X, and Hacker News. Build Signadot's reputation by being genuinely useful, answering questions, and engaging in relevant conversations. Nurture Signadot's own community as a place practitioners want to be. Engage DevRel teams of integration partners to build co-marketing relationships and joint content.
**Technical Content & Demos**: Support content production across blog posts, tutorials, video walkthroughs, and demos. Own documentation and example repositories, keeping them accurate and useful as the product evolves. Build example repos and code demos using agentic workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.), with those workflows embedded in the examples so users see how Signadot fits into agent-driven development. Represent Signadot at meetups, KCDs, webinars, livestreams, and conferences.
**Feedback Loop & Strategy**: Create a structured feedback mechanism between external communities and internal teams to inform content and product strategy. Surface recurring questions, objections, misconceptions, and feature requests in actionable form. Track and report on community engagement, content performance, mentions, and organic discoverability signals.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Established, recognized presence in the software engineering community (ideally Kubernetes/Cloud-Native or adjacent)
- Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native fluency; hands-on experience building in this environment or doing DevRel for similar devtools
- Power user of coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) who can quickly spin up example repos and demos
- Strong technical content portfolio with published written content and video walkthroughs demonstrating ability to teach complex topics clearly
- Public code demos and examples on GitHub using relevant cloud-native tools
- Developer empathy and authenticity; you engage because you like helping developers
- Self-direction and ability to establish a function from scratch without heavy oversight
- Strong communication skills; comfortable writing and on camera; can represent credibly to skeptical technical audiences
**Nice to Have**: Experience at early-stage, high-growth startups; hands-on experience with Kafka, Temporal, or Istio; speaking experience at meetups or conferences; CNCF ecosystem involvement.
This is a builder role at an early-stage company with real ownership, direct founder access, and freedom to shape what DevRel looks like at Signadot. You will operate independently, ship consistently, and measure your impact.
