Sent is an infrastructure platform for sending A2P (Application-to-Person) messages across SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS through a single unified API. The company recently closed a $12M Series A and is building the best infrastructure to replace fragmented multi-channel messaging stacks. As Developer Advocate, you'll be the technical voice of Sent in the developer community. You'll produce a steady stream of technical content—tutorials, code samples, demos, blog posts, videos, and conference talks—and engage developers where they naturally congregate: Hacker News, X, Reddit, Discord, GitHub, and in-person at conferences and hackathons. Key responsibilities include: - Publishing technical content on a regular cadence: tutorials, comparison posts, deep dives, working demos, and sample applications - Building and maintaining a strong personal presence on X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other developer media channels to grow an audience interested in messaging infrastructure - Attending and speaking at developer conferences, meetups, and events; running booths and co-hosting strategic hackathons - Owning the SDK and quickstart developer experience end-to-end, feeding friction and feedback back to the engineering team - Running office hours, livestreams, and other engagement formats to help developers get hands-on with the product - Being the go-to voice when developers ask how Sent compares to competitors like Twilio You'll write the tutorial that ranks for "how to send WhatsApp from Node.js" and build the demo that gets shared across Slack channels. Requirements: - At least 4 years of professional experience as a developer - At least 1–2 years in DevRel, developer marketing, or as a public-facing technical individual contributor - Proven ability to ship code; can build a working integration in a weekend and document it by Monday - Portfolio of public technical content: blog posts, GitHub repositories, conference talks, videos, or an audience you've built yourself - Strong technical writing skills; ability to explain complex concepts (e.g., webhook signature flows) clearly and engagingly - Comfort with messaging, telecom, or API infrastructure is a plus but not required
