Figma is seeking a Designer Advocate to champion Figma Weave, the company's AI-native design platform that bridges AI capabilities with human creativity. This role sits at the intersection of product advocacy, community enablement, and sales support.
You will be responsible for scaling user education through methodology guides, video content, and live streams that help creative teams understand and adopt Figma Weave workflows. You'll join high-value sales demos to provide product expertise, explain best practices, and answer technical questions. Beyond sales enablement, you'll build and maintain relationships with the user community, identifying collaboration opportunities and gathering feedback.
A significant part of the role involves public-facing advocacy: speaking at meetups and conferences (up to 25% travel), supporting community advocates globally, and serving as a bridge between users and the product team. You'll synthesize community sentiment on product releases, organize user feedback systematically, and advise the product and design teams on launch readiness and community reception.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building AI-driven creative workflows or generative pipelines, familiarity with node-based or procedural tools (ComfyUI, Houdini, TouchDesigner, Runway, etc.), and the ability to translate creative processes into repeatable systems. Deep expertise in a creative domain—motion, VFX, post-production, design systems, or creative automation—is highly valued. You should have a track record of teaching, documenting, or sharing workflows with creative or technical audiences through events, live demos, or written content.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Figma's New York Hub. The company values curiosity and growth mindset, and encourages applications from candidates excited about the mission even if experience doesn't perfectly match the description.
