BitGo, the leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Derivatives Trader to join its growing trading organization in New York City. This role is critical to building and scaling BitGo's institutional derivatives trading capabilities.
You will develop and execute sophisticated trading strategies across digital asset markets, including futures, perpetuals, options, and structured products. You'll identify and capitalize on trading opportunities across global digital asset markets while managing significant positions and exposures within established risk parameters. Your deep market experience will optimize execution, pricing, liquidity, and position management. You'll serve as a senior trading resource, mentoring other team members and partnering with leadership to establish trading priorities and strategies as the business scales.
In market analysis and strategy, you'll develop sophisticated views on digital asset markets, derivatives curves, volatility surfaces, funding rates, basis, and liquidity. You'll identify relative value, arbitrage, and complex trading opportunities, refining strategies based on quantitative analysis and market intelligence. You'll assess macroeconomic, regulatory, and industry developments impacting digital asset markets, helping define BitGo's derivatives trading strategy and bringing institutional expertise to new product development.
Risk management is central to this role. You'll own and actively manage trading risk across assigned strategies and portfolios, monitoring P&L, position limits, counterparty exposure, and key risk metrics. You'll make informed decisions on position sizing, hedging, and leverage, partnering with risk and leadership teams to establish appropriate controls and proactively developing mitigation strategies for emerging risks.
You'll also partner with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of BitGo's derivatives trading business, providing market insights that influence product, technology, risk, and commercial strategy. You'll evaluate new markets, exchanges, counterparties, and trading opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of professional derivatives trading experience, a proven track record across complex market environments, and deep understanding of derivatives markets and structure.
