Cognition AI is building Devin, the first AI software engineer, and is seeking a Deployed Engineer for the EMEA region. This is a customer-facing technical role that bridges engineering and sales, combining hands-on technical work with customer partnership and rapid execution.
You will own all technical aspects of the customer lifecycle—from deployment through activation—ensuring customers maximize value from Devin. You'll work directly with engineering teams to understand their workflows, identify high-impact use cases, and deploy Devin into real production environments. Key responsibilities include leading demos and pilots, supporting integrations, driving adoption of the Cognition platform, and building deep relationships with customers' engineering teams.
The role demands proactive ownership: you'll listen to customer feedback, implement requested features yourself when appropriate, and advocate for customer needs with the product and engineering teams. You're expected to exercise product instincts to help shape the roadmap and serve as the "customer oracle."
Required qualifications include native or fluent Spanish proficiency, a strong engineering foundation from a rigorous technical environment, and a demonstrated track record of exceptional performance. You must be self-directed, with strong communication skills and high tolerance for ambiguity and intensity. The role requires 25–50% travel.
Ideal candidates have advanced proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, TypeScript), experience writing and debugging real software systems, and background in early-stage startups or roles requiring operating beyond job description. You should be energized by working directly with real users on high-impact technical problems and learning quickly in challenging, real-world environments.
