Linear is seeking a Demand Generation Lead to own how future customers discover and first experience the platform across web, search, and paid media. You'll build awareness and pipeline, particularly targeting larger companies. As the first demand generation hire, you'll develop and execute the full demand generation strategy from scratch. Key responsibilities include: partnering with Linear's in-house design team (Magic) on web pages and ad creative; owning paid media end-to-end including channel strategy, budgeting, creative development, and account-based campaigns for enterprise accounts; owning search strategy (both traditional and AI-driven); defining success metrics; and actively using AI and automation tools to move faster and scale impact. Linear is a brand-forward company that prioritizes perception and craftsmanship over vanity metrics—you won't use retargeting pixels or gated content. The marketing team is intentionally small but has outsized impact. You'll have real influence on how Linear grows and will be encouraged to own tooling and practices that increase effectiveness. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in growth or demand generation at B2B SaaS companies, with hands-on experience across web, paid media, and account-based marketing. You should have generated pipeline for enterprise sales teams, possess genuine design sense, understand Linear's core audience (product and engineering teams), and are disciplined with capital allocation. You're fluent in measurement and attribution but not captive to dashboards alone. Deep fluency with AI tooling is essential—you default to automation and use it to accomplish work that would otherwise require a team. Linear offers competitive salary and equity with employee-friendly terms, daily meal and coffee stipends, paid co-working space, comprehensive health coverage, 5 weeks paid vacation plus local holidays, 4 months paid parental leave, and a paid month off after 4 years. The company is remote-first with optional offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. This role is open to candidates based in the US and Europe.
