Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is hiring a Deal Desk Senior Manager to build and lead a strategic Deal Desk function in London. This is a rare opportunity to transform how the sales organization structures, prices, and closes complex, high-value deals.
In this coach-player role, you will lead a Deal Desk team while personally running point on the company's most complex and strategic deals. You'll own the complete transformation of the Deal Desk operating model, shifting the team from manual administrative work toward high-value deal structuring and pricing strategy.
Key responsibilities include: rebuilding the Deal Desk operating model to eliminate manual processes like company setup and payment profile processing; deciding what the team should own, support, automate, or hand off to Legal, Finance, and Sales Operations; establishing clear ownership and service levels for handoffs; building performance metrics to track deal velocity and process improvements; and serving as a trusted partner to Sales leadership.
You'll build and develop a team of Deal Desk professionals, setting clear goals and performance standards. You'll mentor the team on complex deal structuring, pricing strategy, and commercial risk judgment, and personally model the standard expected. You'll own pricing governance and deal structuring for non-standard commercial deals, balancing commercial risk with deal velocity.
The role includes owning the relationship with Perk's CPQ platform end-to-end, identifying improvements to configuration, pricing logic, and quoting workflows so Sales can move faster. You'll drive an automation roadmap to remove manual, repetitive work through AI and automation, prioritizing high-impact workflows like company setup, payment profile setup, and post-signature provisioning.
You'll also act as Deal Desk's first line of defense on contract redlines and non-standard terms, own commercial governance frameworks and pricing policy, and safeguard deal commercials, business risk, and revenue recognition implications.
