Anysphere, maker of Cursor (an AI-native code editor), is scaling its Deal Desk function and seeking a high-ownership individual contributor to join the Americas team. You'll operate at the intersection of Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, and Business Operations, partnering closely with Americas sales leaders to structure and win enterprise deals while systematizing and scaling the deal process.
The role is based in-person in North Beach, San Francisco or Manhattan, New York, with five days per week in office required. You'll work on a small, high-ownership team in one of the fastest-moving markets in AI.
Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with Americas sales, legal, finance, and revenue operations to structure, negotiate, and close complex enterprise deals; serving as a thought partner to sales reps on deal strategy (pricing, competitive positioning, negotiation approach, contract structure, executive engagement); evolving the pricing model and deal frameworks as the market and customer base shift by spotting trends across deal flow and driving changes through; leading cross-functional projects that systematize operations at scale (approval workflows, contracting playbooks, pricing guardrails, sales enablement, deal desk cadence); improving tools and processes (Salesforce, Ironclad, pricing infrastructure) by partnering with the GTM systems team; and balancing high-volume deal workload with longer-horizon strategic initiatives while managing competing priorities across multiple reps and deal cycles.
The company emphasizes a flat organization with a small, talent-dense team that values truth-seeking, passion, creativity, spirited debate, and shipping code.
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience across consulting, investing, commercial strategy, deal desk, or a combination, with demonstrated ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
- Experience working on enterprise B2B deals, ideally in SaaS or infrastructure, with direct experience on $1M+ ACV contracts
- Track record operating in high-volume deal environments and scaling yourself through building processes, playbooks, and enablement
- Highly analytical; comfortable analyzing pricing, building ROI models in Excel, and grounding strategic recommendations in data
- Strong point of view; ability to think independently and back up recommendations with reasoning
- Operates with urgency, ownership, and minimal hand-holding
- Based in or able to relocate to San Francisco or New York City
