The Legal team at Revolut partners across the business to provide practical advice that enables fast growth while maintaining compliance and protection. This role sits within that team, focusing specifically on data protection and artificial intelligence legal matters.
As a Senior Legal Counsel reporting to the Head of Legal in France, you will advise the business on privacy, data protection, and AI legal issues across product structuring and marketing. Key responsibilities include:
• Advising on privacy, data protection, and AI considerations for new and existing products, ensuring these are core to feature launch reviews
• Drafting and negotiating contractual data protection and AI clauses with third parties and other Revolut entities
• Advising on complex international data transfers and GDPR compliance structures
• Managing data breaches, including drafting notifications to supervisory authorities
• Drafting and maintaining customer-facing privacy notices, explainers, and cookie policies
• Liaising with global Legal Counsels on privacy and AI matters affecting multiple jurisdictions
• Supporting responses to complex data protection requests requiring legal review
• Proactively engaging with regulators across multiple countries
• Staying current on legal, regulatory, and industry developments
• Leading by example while performing hands-on work to manage complex legal tasks efficiently
You can be based in one of Revolut's European offices, work remotely, or work hybrid.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 6+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials
• Expertise in advising on privacy, data protection, and AI matters in France and/or the European Union
• Sound judgment, composure under pressure, and collaborative mindset
• Confidence making decisions with ambiguity or incomplete information
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience providing detailed advice on innovative, customer-facing products
• Fluency in English
