Moody's is seeking a Data Management Analyst to join the Content Solutions - Structured Finance team in Bengaluru. This role focuses on acquiring, managing, and delivering high-quality structured finance data that powers Moody's analytics solutions and client offerings.
You will support the end-to-end production lifecycle for structured finance datasets, including residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). Key responsibilities include data acquisition, validation, transformation, and maintenance to support analytics products and operational processes. You'll monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across datasets.
The role involves coordinating vendor operations by managing submissions, resolving inquiries, defining requirements, and approving deliverables. You'll partner with Data Operations and Development teams to prioritize requirements, create and track work items, and support production activities. You'll establish and maintain structured asset data governance processes, standards, and controls, and lead initiatives focused on data cleansing, enrichment, and process optimization.
You'll contribute to enterprise-wide data quality and Master Data Management initiatives, evaluate new technologies and tools, and support cross-functional stakeholders through analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts. This position offers the opportunity to help drive the quality and accuracy of structured finance datasets used across Moody's products while collaborating with global teams across data operations, technology, and product functions.
Required qualifications include 2-5 years of experience in data management, data quality, data governance, or related analytical functions. Strong knowledge of structured finance products is essential, along with advanced SQL skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Experience with Python, VBA, automation, scripting tools, and project management practices is preferred.
