REGENT is building Seagliders—wing-in-ground-effect aircraft that travel just above water, combining airplane speed (180 mph) with boat economics. As Cybersecurity Specialist, you'll own day-to-day security operations for a fast-scaling aerospace/defense startup moving from prototype to production. You'll monitor endpoint detection and response (EDR) tooling, triage and investigate security alerts, and escalate findings appropriately. You'll drive the full vulnerability management lifecycle—scanning, prioritization, remediation tracking, and verification—partnering across teams to resolve issues. You'll execute incident response procedures (detection, containment, eradication, recovery) in coordination with the Director of IT & Infrastructure, handling routine incidents independently and escalating higher-severity cases. You'll maintain system hardening by managing configuration baselines, hardened builds, authorized software tracking, and drift monitoring. You'll support identity and access management, including joiner/mover/leaver workflows, privileged access reviews, and routine access governance. You'll help implement data classification, data loss prevention (DLP), retention controls, and coordinate backup/disaster recovery testing. As the company scales toward CMMC Level 2 certification and manufacturing, you'll look for opportunities to strengthen processes, automate repetitive work, improve documentation, and make security operations more effective. You'll maintain audit-ready records of procedures, incidents, baselines, and exceptions, and contribute to runbooks and SOPs. You'll also support security awareness programs, including phishing simulations. This is a hands-on role in an evolving startup. You'll work closely with IT leadership, taking ownership of day-to-day security while learning and adapting to changing priorities. You're comfortable with ambiguity, detail-oriented, and excited to grow your security expertise in a regulated, high-stakes environment.
