Voyager Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join their defense and space technology organization. This is a hands-on role that bridges cyber analysis with compliance and governance in a regulated aerospace and defense environment.
You will monitor and analyze security alerts from multiple sources including endpoints, identity systems, and email security tools. You'll investigate suspicious activity, document findings, recommend remediation actions, and escalate incidents through defined response procedures. You'll support threat-hunting initiatives and work with cybersecurity leadership and managed security providers to improve detection capabilities.
On the vulnerability and risk side, you'll analyze scan results and configuration gaps across corporate and regulated environments, partnering with IT operations, networking, cloud, and system owners to prioritize and track remediation. You'll maintain risk findings, exception requests, and mitigation plans in auditable formats, and support impact analysis for new systems and integrations.
Compliance is a key component: you'll support evidence collection for NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, NASA, and DoD requirements. You'll maintain system security plans, POA&Ms, control evidence, and security documentation. You'll assist with readiness reviews, mock audits, control testing, and formal assessment preparation.
This role is being reframed from a compliance-focused position into a cyber analysis role that still understands governance, risk, and compliance. The ideal candidate learns quickly, works effectively across IT and engineering teams, and can translate security data and control requirements into clear action items for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
