Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations and cyber defense teams. As a Cyber Security Training Engineer, you will own how enterprise security teams learn and master the Vega platform, taking analysts from foundational queries to advanced detection engineering and threat hunting.
You will create and deliver comprehensive training content across multiple formats: on-site workshops, live virtual sessions, and recorded self-paced courses. This includes developing hands-on labs, exercises, reference materials, and technical write-ups tailored to customer environments and specific use cases. You'll teach advanced platform usage including query language mastery, detection engineering, threat hunting, and investigation workflows.
As a customer-facing technical role, you'll represent Vega in front of major enterprise customers, leading live workshops for security teams and fielding complex questions from experienced practitioners. You'll demonstrate attack techniques and explain detection and response strategies. Your insights from the classroom—confusion points, recurring questions, and "aha" moments—will directly inform product and content improvements.
Beyond training delivery, you'll engage with Vega's broader community by publishing curated technical content, organizing online events, building capture-the-flag exercises, and answering complex user questions. You'll also help security teams understand how to integrate AI workflows into their security operations.
This role requires deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences. You'll work closely with product and content teams to continuously improve the platform and training experience.
